November, 25, 2017 marked the beginning of 16-days of activism which will culminate on International Human Rights Day marked on December 10 2017.
This year’s theme “Leave No One Behind: End Violence against Women and Girls, reinforces the UNiTE Campaign’s commitment to a world free from violence for all women and girls around the world, while reaching the most underserved and marginalized, including refugees, migrants, minorities, indigenous peoples, and populations affected by conflict and natural disasters, amongst others, first.
Each year Kituo Cha Sheria joins the civil society initiative, campaign UNiTE to End Violence against Women calls for global action to increase worldwide awareness and create opportunities for discussion about challenges and solutions. As in the previous years, Kituo is engaging you to take action and participate at whatever level you can to appreciate and acknowledge survivors of sexual gender based violence (SGBV).
