Kituo Cha Sheria conducted a refresher training for prison paralegals at the Kisumu Maximum Prison-Kodiaga. The training which started on 13th November, 2017 continued up to the 18th November, 2017.
Kituo cha Sheria’s through the Forced Migration Programme conducted an intensive training on refugee protection for law enforcement officers at the Laza Leisure Lodge in Hola, Tana River County. The training conducted on the 15th-16th November, 2017 saw 24 police officers drawn from various police divisions across Tana River County successfully completing the two-day program.
On Tuesday, 14th November, 2017 Kituo cha Sheria commemorated the Access to Justice Day at the Kakamega Main Prison in Kakamega County. The day was celebrated to acknowledge the contributions of the prison paralegals as they play a big role in educating inmates about their legal rights to appeal for justice.
