Kituo hosted members of the Global Legal Empowerment Network at the Kituo Head Office, Nairobi on 16th October, 2018. The Network members under NAMATI were drawn from countries around the world- Ukraine, Myanmar, Indonesia, Tanzania and the United States.

Kituo Leads Justice for All Campaign Meeting

On the 16th of October, 2018, Kituo Cha Sheria held a breakfast meeting under the theme: ‘Access to Justice for All.’ The meeting sought to address the issue of increasing funding to the justice sector and protection of grassroots justice defenders. The event was held at the Laico Regency Hotel, Nairobi and was part of the Justice for All global campaign.

Success story of Samuel Nzuki Mutisya

Samuel Nzuki Mutisya 38, from Matungulu, Machakos County served his employer with diligence and loyalty until 25th May 2015 when his employer wrongfully and unlawfully terminated his services. For 11 years he worked at Sunrise Textile Mills Limited as a Machine operator before his boss accused him of sleeping on duty and chased him away from work. According to Samuel, his employer never issued him an appointment letter and even dismissed him verbally for no reason and failed to pay him his terminal benefits as well.
