The objectives of Kituo Cha Sheria’s Internship Programme are:

  • To provide an opportunity for interns to use the workplace as an active learning environment.
  • To provide opportunities for new entrants to acquire skills that would improve their employment prospects.
  • To assist recent graduates or students in the process of completing their studies to familiarize themselves with the working environment and gain practical experience.
  • To assist students to obtain required practical experience and to complete their qualifications.
  • To provide the organisation with an opportunity to compile a database of prospective employees for future recruitment purposes.

 

Kituo Cha Sheria offers internships to students and recent graduates in the following programmes:

  • Legal Aid and Education Programme,
  • Research, Communication and Knowledge Management (RCKM) Programme
  • Advocacy, Governance and Community Partnerships (AGCP) Programme

Legal Aid Programme

Internships commence every February for a period of 6 months. The period of internship can be extended or reduced at the discretion of the Executive Director and/or Programme Coordinator.

Internships in this programme are run at the Head Office, Jogoo Road and Mombasa Offices.

Research, Communication and Knowledge Management (RCKM) Programme

Internships are offered on a need basis and will be advertised on the website when available.
