AG. Advocacy, Governance and Community Partnership Programme

Janet Kavuravu is the acting coordinator of the Advocacy, Governance and Community Partnerships Program (AGCP). She has over 5 years’ experience in research and advocacy on human rights issues as well as alternative justice systems. Before joining Kituo Cha Sheria, she served at the Legal Resources Foundation Trust in Kenya where she actively engaged in policy research and formulation in the areas of good governance, rule of law and human rights.

She received a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and a Masters in Human Rights from the University of Nairobi.

Programme Officer

Ms. Jacquelyn holds a masters of Business Administration from University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Social Administration from Kampala International University.

She has over 5 years’ experience in implementation of projects and working with Community. She currenlty coordinate Justice Centers across the country and  train community members as paralegals, on the law to enable them assist other community members who may face legal and governance issues like land, labor,  SGBV and Human Rights. She also conducts advocacy and creates community partnerships for the benefit of the community, especially in informal settlements.

Programme Officer

Robert is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He has over 4 years work experience as a champion for access to justice for the poor and the marginalized, good democratic governance and as a professional mediator.

He holds a bachelor of Laws Degree from Moi University and a post-graduate diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is also a professional mediator from Mediation Training Institute- East Africa.

Previously, he worked for FIDA Kenya, TI-Kenya and CLEAR Kenya. Robert is also a student at St. Pius University Limuru pursuing a Bachelor of Divinity Course.

Programme Officer

Reuben William Kuto is a programme officer under the AGCP department since 2019. He is a graduate of law from the University of Nairobi and is a graduand from the Kenya School of Law. He is also a certified Mediator from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (2022). He has vast experience in family and succession matters, land issues, employment matters, alternative dispute resolution and advocacy.
